Where Architecture Meets Digital Art That Rocks!

 

As a commercial photographer and digital artist, I consider myself to be a painter of light. Knowing how sculpt light is essential for creating form, shape, texture and mood. This is a behind the scenes look at an industrial architectural interior that I photographed on assignment. As you can see from the video above, in order to light a space this large, attention to detail is crucial. Running machines and slick floors also presented it's own set of obstacles on set.  

Architectural photography is not simply about shooting with a wide angle lens and documenting a space. It's about creating a mood through nuance and detail, allowing the viewer to make an emotional connection to that space without physically being there.

Put yourself in the eyes of the consumer. Let's say you're taking your husband or wife on vacation and you're looking for a place to eat. You search the web and find images of various restaurants nearby. Based on your visual assessment, there's a 100% chance that you have a preconceived notion about the quality of that establishment based on the architectural photography of that space.
